AN ALL ORANGE
AFFAIR
PETALING JAYA: To promote
its new corporate identity, BHPetrol went "orange" recently,
complete with an Orange Run and a "Count the Orange
Contest".
In line with BHPetrols's new
corporate image launched on Feb 14, Boustead Petroleum
Marketing Sdn Bhd (formerly BP Malaysia Sdn Bhd) organised
the 9km Orange Run with Selangor Amateur Athletics
Association at Mutiara Damansara last Sunday.
There were four categories in
the run: Men Veteran (41 years and above), Women Veteran (36
years and above), Men Open (18 years and above) and Women
Open (18 years and above).
Ten cash prizes were up for
grabs in each category, with RM1,500 for the grand prize
while consolation prizes of BHPetrol vouchers worth RM50
each was given to those finishing in the 11th to 20th
placings.
R. Muniandy walked away with the
grand prize in the Men's Open, clocking 32.47 minutes, with
Arun Theder coming in second with a time of 33.40 minutes.
For the Women's Open, Vally
Michael beat the rest with the time of 41.33 minutes while
Norlida Ismail came in a close second with 42.05 minutes.
The Men's and Women's Veteran
Open categories were won by Subramaniam with a time of 36.18
minutes and S. Devamani with 41.20 minutes respectively.
BHPetrol also announced the winners for the "Count the
Orange Contest" seen in a picture of a BHPetrol service
station - which attracted 6,200 entries when the 18-day
contest closed on March 5.
