Petaling Jaya, August 16, 2010 - BHPetrol today launched its new RON95 and 97 fuels - BHPetrol Infiniti Advanced2X 95 and 97, making available to Malaysians Advanced Additive Compound (AAC) from Germany. The petrol priced at RM1.85 per litre for RON95 and RM2.10 for RON97 will be available at all of the company's 300 over stations by August 16, 2010.

AAC utilises German engineering for exceptional performance - for maximum mileage and power. AAC uses the latest additive formulation and is a fully synthetic multifunctional petrol additive with two powerful ingredients: a unique and potent detergent that maximises cleaning performance; and friction modifier that minimises friction in the engine to give that extra, instantaneous boost in fuel savings.

BHPetrol's Managing Director, Mr. Tan Kim Thiam said BHPetrol Infiniti Advanced2X 95 and 97 will offer unparallel performance with our Advanced Double Strength formula as the new fuels are treated with AAC at the recommended maximum treat rate to give Malaysians the ultimate in fuel savings and power and at no extra cost to users.

"To get the most of your petrol you need a clean engine. Unadditised petrol, being hydrocarbon, will leave deposits in your engine, blocking the intake valve, clogging the injection nozzle and preventing full combustion of petrol. Tests (60 hours per test) were conducted under strict Coordinating European Council (CEC) standards used by automotive industries worldwide. The test was designed to test the cleaning power of AAC in compliance with the established test procedures on a Mercedes Benz engine.

"The results showed that when compared to petrol without additives, BHPetrol Infiniti Advanced2X petrol with AAC at the maximum recommended treat rate reduces carbon deposits on the intake valve by 94% to a mere 3 mg/valve. This clearly proves AAC's superior cleaning power dramatically reduces Intake Valve Deposits (IVD) - resulting in a clean engine for maximum mileage and power.
