1) Q: Why we need to renew the ecard?
A: The existing ecard is only valid for 5 years. Once the ecard expires, members will
not be eligible to earn epoint or redeem any item as our system will stop processing
expired ecards.
2) Q: How long is the ecard validity period?
A: 5 years.
3) Q: How do I check ecard expiry date?
A: The ecard expiry date is printed on the bottom right of the ecard. (eg: if the number
printed on the ecard is 06/11, it means the ecard will expire on 30 June 2011).
4) Q: What do I need to do to renew my ecard?
A: You do not have to do anything. BHPetrol will automatically renew your ecard
and send to your correspondence address 1 month before the expiry date. If your
existing correspondence address has changed or is different from the application
form, please update us the latest correspondence address via email at
ecard@bhpetrol.com.my, fax to 03-7841 6622 or call our customer service at
1300-22-2828 as soon as possible.
5) Q: Will the principle and supplementary ecard be renewed together?
A: In the event if both principle and supplementary ecard shares the same expiry date,
both cards will be renewed together. Otherwise, ONLY the expired ecard will be
renewed.
6) Q: Do I need to submit any application forms for renewal?
A: No, you don’t have to submit any application forms if your ecard is due for
renewal. However, if you have changed your correspondence address or contact
number or email address or any of your particulars, please update us via the
following channel as soon as possible to enable us to serve you better:
(i) Call our customer service centre at 1300-22-2828
(ii) Email to ecard@bhpetrol.com.my
(iii) Fax your up to date information to 03-7841 6622
Kindly state your card number, name, NRIC number, correspondence address and
contact number(s) when you fax/email us.
7) Q: What happens to my epoints balance after card renewal? Will these epoints expire along with the ecard?
A: epoints will automatically be transferred to the new ecard. In fact the ecard number
remains the same except the expiry date. The existing epoint validity period of 2
years from the date earned also remains unchanged.
Upon received your new ecard, please contact our customer service to activate your ecard immediately, even though the card is not expired yet.
Card not activated will not be able to earn/redeem points.
8) Q: When will I get my renewed ecard?
A: We will post the new ecard to your correspondence address one month before your ecard expires. We will SMS you once we send out the card to you.
If you do not receive your new ecard 1 week before the expiry date, please contact
our customer service at 1300-22-2828.
9) Q: What should I do when I get my new ecard?
A: (i) Contact our Customer Service at 1300-22-2828 to activate your new ecard.
Your new ecard will not be eligible to earn epoint or perform redemption
before activation.
(ii) Once the new ecard is activated, please cut the old ecard into two to avoid
unauthorized usage or abuses.
(iii) To protect your interest and to avoid unauthorized usages, please sign on the
signature panel at the back of your ecard immediately.
10) Q: Can I use both of my existing and new ecard concurrently?
A: No. Our system only recognizes one card at one time. Before activation of the new ecard, our system only recognizes the old ecard as long as it is still within the
validity period. Once the new ecard is activated, our system will automatically
override the old ecard.
11) Q: What happen if I do not get my new ecard on time?
A: Please contact our customer service at 1300-22-2828 for immediate assistance.
12) Q: Can I get the new design ecard if my card not due for renewal?
A: The old ecard is still valid throughout the validity period. The new ecard will
replace the old card progressively upon expiry.
13) Q: Can I earn the epoints if I have not received the new card and my old card is expired?
A: Please contact our Customer Service at 1300-22-2828 if you have not received the
renewed card 1 week before the card expired.
Or for whatever reasons, if you still not received the card after card expired, please
call our Customer Service Centre at 1300-22-2828 for further assistance.
14) Q: How can I earn the epoints if I have not activate the new card?
A: Card not activated will not be eligible to earn/redeem points. Please activate the
card immediately by contacting our Customer Service at 1300-22-2828 upon
received the renewed card. |
